Up for sale is this exceptional and extremely hard to find 1965 Type 34 Karmann Ghia 1500S Coupe. This Type 34 was lovingly and meticulously restored by Pedro Sainz in Sand Diego, CA in 2016. Having only covered about 800 miles since the restoration was completed, the car is still is top notch condition. Finished in the very attractive Smoke Gray/Fontana Gray over Brick Red interior. This Type 34 is thought to be one of the nicest in the country. It features many small details that are often overlooked when restoring these cars either due to lack of parts, or lack of knowledge in the details. I recently acquired this car from the previous owner via a consignment sale by Lee Hedges one of the leading Type 34 experts world wide. I traveled with my wife and our 2 youngest daughters to San Diego and proceeded to drive the Type 34 up the CA-1 to visit family on the central coast. We logged roughly 400 miles on the trip. Some of the pictures show various stops on our trip. Malibu, San Luis Obisbo, Port San Luis, and Morro Bay. We then flew home and had the Type 34 shipped back here to Tennessee.
