Up for sale is this stunning and very rare 1953 Volkswagen Beetle 11G Sunroof Deluxe! This 53’ Oval Ragtop features the highly sought after 3-Fold large sunroof, numbers matching 25hp engine, push-button start, numbers matching body and pan, and finished in a VERY attractive correct L35 Metallic Blue paint. Unlike most VW’s that are on the market, the history of this car is extremely complete going all the way back to the first owner who was a technical trainer for Volkswagen of America! Included with the sale is a load of documentation, old registrations, ORIGINAL title application proving who the original owner was, and where it was sold new which was Seattle Sports Cars. The birth certificate from VW is also included and confirms the engine numbers, original 11G sunroof car, and that Seattle Sports Cars was the original selling dealer. Also included is a picture of the original owner in his VW lab coat conducting a training session with a group of local VW technicians. Aside from the historical documents, a complete set of receipts for the restoration is included. The restoration was started in 2001 and we acquired the car in 2018 as an 80% restored vehicle. We finished the restoration and the work we have completed in the last 18 months include a new correct wire harness, all new window and door seals, brake hoses, wheel cylinders, axle boots, tune-up components, belt, carb rebuild, battery, alignment, and much more.
