Up for consignment is This 1975 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43, which was imported to the US in January 2022 and is powered by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Frame Off Restoration including Engine and Transmission back to factory Compression. Repainted in red over black upholstery, it features new 16″ Fifteen52 Aluminum wheels, new 14’’ PLY Good Year, locking front hubs, a full-size rear spare-tire carrier, a beige soft top, and rear jump seats.
Work since importation is said to have included replacing the thermostat, water pump, carburetor, and clutch cylinder. This FJ43 is now offered in Tennessee by the seller on behalf of its owner with a clean Tennessee title in the owner’s name.
The two-door FJ43 is a medium-wheelbase version of the FJ40.
The split front bench, and the inward-facing rear jump seats were recovered in black upholstery. Additional appointments include seat belts, and a vintage radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. True mileage is unknown. The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six is said to have been rebuilt and was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the seals between the engine and transmission were replaced in 2021.
