Up for sale is my personal 1968 Austin Cooper S Tribute w/ 1380cc (started as Austin 1000). I have personally owned this Mini since mid-2016 when purchasing in the Bay Area. Restored in 2002, during the restoration, the car was completely disassembled and all rust was removed from the body including the dual Cooper S tank conversion. It’s in great shape throughout as it has been stored in a climate-controlled garage and never taken out in inclement weather. RHD (originally LHD), 1380cc Mincomp Racing Engine - rated at 116 bhp-(6970 miles on engine), Longman GT6 unleaded head, Powermax pistons, Elgin cam, HIF6 SU carb, Aldon distributor, rod-change gearbox and 3.44:1 final drive. The engine runs strong, sounds great, and has excellent oil pressure. The Mini is fitted with Cooper S AP disc brakes with servo, braided steel lines, KYB AGX shocks, Cooper S hydrolastic suspension, Play Mini exhaust, Original (refinished) Dunlop 10" wheels, and Yokohama A008 tires dated coded from 2015. The Interior features Cooper S speedo, Newton Commercial headliner, sun visors, carpet, door and dash cards, Moto-Lita steering wheel, and Paddy Hopkirk pedal. The seats are in very good original condition. The hidden stereo sounds excellent. Upon my original purchase I had the tires replaced, AP Calipers rebuilt, tie rod ends replaced, ball joints rebuilt, pot joints redone, brake master cylinder replaced, and rear drums serviced with new master cylinders and hardware. Recent maintenance in preparation for sale is an oil change (20W-50 & WIX filter as specified per Mincomp), every single soft fuel line replaced, fuel filter, air filter, alternator rebuilt, and spark plugs. I have all service history and receipts from the previous 2 owners and myself. This Mini drives like a road-going Gokart! Please call or message with any questions.
